LG G3 recent leaks show a new flat UI and confirm rumors

There has been a lot of speculation about LG’s upcoming flagship phone, the G3. There’s a lot of pressure on the Korean manufacturer, as some stiff competition from HTC, Apple and Samsung will force the company to provide an impressive phone in order to stay competitive. This seems to be the case, as everything points towards the LG G3 being a top-notch phone with some attractive features. A recent leaked image on a dutch blog shows an interface similar to the tuned TouchWiz UI used by Samsung with its newest Galaxy S5.

LG is definitely stepping up its game with the LG G3, adapting to the ever popular flat UI trends set by Apple and Samsung. In addition, there are new, more reliable hints at what the LG G3 will be capable of in terms of hardware. The LG flagship phone will sport a 5.5 inch display, with an impressive QHD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. 3GB of RAM are also to be hidden within the G3, with the Korean manufacturer also considering using 4GB. Last but not least, the LG G3 will also feature a Snapdragon 805 SoC processor, with clock speeds still to be announced.

The LG G3 is set for a May 17 release, with exact pricing still to be announced. Everything we’ve learned so far points to the fact that the G3 will likely come with a smaller price-tag than its main Android competitors, the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5, which was recently released.
