In an attempt (a successful one at that) to build up hype for its upcoming flagship RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition, developer Bioware has released a new screenshot showcasing the beauty and power of the Frostbite 3 engine, the engine that powers and brings the anticipated game to life. We’ve seen images from Dragon Age: Inquisition before, but none have looked this good frankly. Of course, it’s likely that the final release of the game won’t look quite like this (especially not on the PS3 and Xbox 360), but it’s a promising start nonetheless.
Bioware has also promised to release more screenshots in the coming weeks, showing off more areas and gorgeous sights from Dragon Age: Inquisition, as the game’s official trailer still eludes us. It’s likely that a new trailer will be revealed in June at E3 2014. In the meantime, recent leaks and rumors would suggest that Bioware’s RPG will have up to 40 different endings. This type of marketing has been previously used on Mass Effect 3 too, and that title proved to be a disappointment originally, at least when it came down to the endings and general story-line. Thus, we’re a bit skeptical until we know more, and Bioware has yet to confirm an exact amount of endings for Dragon Age: Inquisition. One thing is certain though – there’s going to be some replaying value to the game.
In other related news, it has been confirmed that one of the followers in Dragon Age: Inquisition will be the enchantress Vivienne, a powerful mage with considerable political status and pull.
